I always tell families that summertime is a great time for family portraits - even though our sessions can be hot as heck! It's a great time because everyone's actually home with nothing (or less!) to do, which means easier scheduling for you!! 

The Murphy family totally listened to my advice. I've known Tracy for years because we've sat through a TON of wrestling matches together. She decided she wanted to plan some updated portraits with her boys while they were home for the summer. We had been holding off on this session for awhile because of the rain and the threat of rain but we finally decided to go for it! We had a great time and got so many beautiful portraits of this incredible family. The photos of her with the boys is my favorite (fellow boy mom talking here!) and my heart just melted when Quinn asked if I would take a picture with his phone so he could post it online - it might not always feel like it, but even boys love their mommas too!!!
