Watching families grow is probably my favorite perk of this job. And Mary Jo, Joe, and Mason are one of my favorite families to work with! I've been photographing them since Mason was little. He's grown up into a very handsome little guy - and quite the ham! I was thrilled when Mary Jo reached out to let me know she was ready for their next portrait session. Family portraits are SO important! Not only are they great to see how things change year to year, but they're just an amazing way to stop and document how quickly time is going. I know I love looking back at our own family portraits. It seems like yesterday my boys were babies! 

Like a lot of the men I photograph, Joe and Mason aren't always tooooo sure about portrait sessions. But they've learned over the years that if they listen to me and Mary Jo, we keep things moving! We've definitely trained them well, ha! This year was extra fun because they brought their dog, Cope, to the session too. We had a lot of laughs trying to get him to look at me!
