This adorable little newborn girl stole my heart! Isla was my first redhead and she was PERFECT!  I couldn’t get enough of her! She was asleep most of the newborn session, which is normal for newborns! I loved watching her eyes flutter as she drifted in and out of dreamland. 

Iowa Newborn Portraits 

Isla looked perfect in all her little headbands! I love when little girls wear bows and headbands! We swaddled her up snug in different colored blankets. Her navy and light blue headband was the perfect addition to her navy blanket. However, she broke free of her olive green blanket, but it gave me an opportunity to capture the tiny details of  her feet and hands intertwined with each other. I always forget just how tiny those little fingers and toes are until I see them up close again! 

After a few pictures of her snuggled up in a blanket, we posed her in a woven basket field with a soft chunky blanket. She wore a delicate little headband that matched the basket. She had no problem falling back asleep using her arms as a pillow. 

There is seriously nothing better than the sweet innocence of newborns. Little Isla was a dream to photograph! I am always so honored (and excited) when parents ask me to capture their newborns. This is such a sweet stage of life! I know these images will be treasured for years to come. Enjoy beautiful Isla’s Iowa newborn portraits.
