Do you just ever meet a couple and feel the love they have?  You can feel yourself smiling as you watch them interact. As I was going through the Jesinas’ wedding album selecting my favorite pictures from their Iowa winter wedding last January, I couldn’t help but smile! Looking through all the images brought back such wonderful memories of their magical winter wedding! 

Winter Wedding 

I love that they planned a wedding in the middle of winter in Iowa! If you aren’t familiar with Iowa winters, they get pretty cold! It isn’t uncommon to have frigid temperatures or a foot of snow here in January!  This couple not only planned a winter wedding in Iowa, but they did so while living in another state!! They were living in Alabama, while Steph was in Med School. Also, let’s not forget that this also took place during the height of covid! 

They pulled it all together beautifully though! It was seriously one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve photographed! Steph was an absolutely stunning bride! I loved her blue and white wedding flowers that made up her bouquet. They were such troopers standing out in the cold for their portraits.  

It was totally worth it though, because I captured the newlyweds in some of the most epic settings. While we did walk through the downtown area for a few photos, for the majority of the portraits we went down an old country road in the middle of nowhere. I loved the pure white snow covering the ground and the trees in the background. Everything was gorgeous-from the bride, the day, the colors, everything! I had such a wonderful time shooting their Iowa winter wedding! Congratulations!
