During the height of Covid, I struggled so much with not seeing my yearly families and capturing their memories. For many, it is a tradition to visit me at least once a year and update their family portraits. I honestly didn’t realize how much I loved and looked forward to seeing their faces until I couldn’t. I will never take that for granted again. Seeing these adorable sisters for their Amana Iowa Family Session was such a joyous time! 

Amana Iowa Sister Session

I was so excited to see them for the first time in what felt like forever! We had a wonderful time wandering around Amana on a quiet Saturday morning and taking in the cool buildings! Part of our annual photo tradition is to capture the girls on the denim blanket, which I just love! I LOVE incorporating items into photos, especially when it becomes a time-honored tradition. 

I can tell you one thing, I was blown away by how much they changed and grew in just two years. They got so big! The oldest is maturing into such a sweet, funny, and beautiful lady! The younger sister was such a treat! Her giggles were INFECTIOUS! I couldn’t stop smiling. These girls were such a joy to be around. While I was taking their photos, and then later as I edited them, I couldn’t help but smile. Their pictures are so full of happiness and laughter.  The bond between sisters is so special. As these girls continue to grow, I know they will be each others best friends. I can tell just by the small amount of time I spent with them that they are so close.
