For Colton’s Senior Portrait Session, we started at his mom’s business on Lake McBride where we took a few great photos on the docks and beach.  I always jump at the opportunity to take photos by the water. The beautiful lakes and rivers always provide a picturesque, natural setting that looks stunning in photos. 

One of Colton’s favorite hobbies is fishing. So, naturally we captured a few of him with his rod and reel!  From there, we traveled to his backyard and then to his “other” home: the football field!!  Colton shared that he will be playing collegiate football for Minnesota State.  How amazing is that?!

I know I reiterate this a lot, but I am truly so blessed! The seniors I have the opportunity to meet and photograph are amazing. They continue to impress me with their ambition, and after this past year of Covid, their  resiliency. 

Their senior year was definitely different than what they, or anyone had imagined.  But, they continued to power through, despite having their major events cancelled, limited sports and activities, and limited celebrations of their many accomplishments. 

These seniors have risen above it all and used the unfortunate situation to drive them ahead. Colton is no exception! It will be so exciting to watch Colton, and all the other amazing seniors I’ve met, reach for their dreams and tackle their goals in the upcoming years.   Watch out world!!
