Talk about a beautiful family!! I could totally put the Schwarting Family on the cover of a magazine!! I was thrilled when they contacted me to update their family photos! This was my first time meeting the whole family! I photographed Anna’s senior portrait session, and now I finally got to meet her sisters. They were all wonderful!  The entire family was energetic, full of beautiful smiles, and lots of laughs!  Needless to say, we had a blast during our session! Their Family Outdoor Portrait Session was a total success.

Amana IA Family Outdoor Portrait Session

Our gorgeous session was photographed in beautiful Amana.  We did part of the session by some buildings with lovely brick and stone architecture that had a rustic feel to it. The remainder of the session was captured in open fields of tall grass and on a gravel path. My absolute favorite photo from the session is the candid shot of them jumping up in the air at the same time! This photo really captures their personality and their fun, loving family dynamic! 

One of my favorite things about photographing families with older kids is getting all the dirt on them!!  I love to ask fun questions, like … “Who is mom and dad’s favorite?”, “Which one spent more time in the principal's office?”, “Who got in the most trouble?”, “Who got the best grades?” Their responses are always the best! It is a great way to relax families and keep them laughing! I usually learn awesome childhood stories! Seeing the parents’ reaction to their kids’ answers is the best too!!! I typically grab some awesome candid moments as the family reminisces and laughs together! 

It was so lovely to finally meet the entire Schwarting Family! I had such a great time updating their family photos and learning about them! Enjoy some of my favorites of this gorgeous family’s Amana Family Session!
