There are certain families that I have had the honor and joy of capturing for the past several years. Each year I look forward to seeing those families, catching up, and capturing beautiful images of their family. The McCarty family is one of those families that I look forward to seeing each year! I adore the whole McCarty clan, and over the years, I've grown to adore their dogs, Maddie and Herky, just as much! These sweet pups almost always accompany the family for the pictures! I love them all!! Maddie and Herky are the sweetest dogs.
Iowa Family Session with Beloved Dogs
As dogs age, it is a necessity to include them in your family session. Unfortunately, you never know when older dogs may get sick or when their final days will be. The McCarty pups are getting older, and it was a priority to include them, so we moved their family session up a bit! Dogs are such a major part of the family and it is heartbreaking when the time comes to say goodbye, which is why you will never regret having them in your family photos. When you look back on those precious family memories, you will not only remember the age of your kids and the season of life, but you will smile seeing your dog standing next to you. It is a way for your sweet pup to live on in your family, and bring a smile to your face every time you see them.
If you are considering bringing your dog to a session-DO IT! You won’t regret it! It is important, however, to contact your photographer ahead of time to let them know you’ll be bringing animals. Sometimes a location isn’t dog friendly, or there may be other logistics your photographer needs to consider if your furry friends are tagging along. Never hesitate to reach out to me about bringing your dogs along! I welcome the opportunity to capture your WHOLE family together.
