My recent CCA Senior Portrait Session featuring Iowa Senior Parker was a special one for me! Parker is one of my boys' childhood friends. While I have been lucky enough to capture many of my boys’ friends over the years, it is always a wonderful stroll down memory lane! These are kids that I have known and watched grow up since Kindergarten! I have spent countless hours watching them play sports, attend school dances, having them over for sleepovers, and going trick-or-treating with them, to name a few of my many memories.  

In a weird way, it is exciting to see them grow up and watch them become adults. The other part of me wants to sit and cry!  Where has the time gone? Where have the years gone? These kids that were once performing together in an elementary school performance are now about to walk across the stage and enter a new chapter in their lives. It is just crazy! 

CCA Senior Portrait Session

This wonderful young man, Parker, was good friends with my youngest, Sam, all through elementary!  I have so enjoyed getting to know him and his family!  Parker is a great kid who loves hockey!! I love how every senior I photograph has something different and unique to them to incorporate in their photo session. It was fun heading to the ice rink and capturing a few chilly pictures of Parker in his hockey gear at his second home on the ice! The rest of his pictures were taken outside on a beautiful night, and they all turned out amazing!
