As an Iowa family photographer, I have great joy and opportunity to meet and photograph many wonderful families! However, it isn’t everyday that I get to capture families with grown children like I did for this IA summer family session! Don’t get me wrong, younger kids are a blast and I love them! It is also incredibly important to capture those younger years when they change constantly.

As kids grow into their teen years and beyond, it gets harder to find time to get everyone together when everyone has different schedules between school, work, sports, and other activities. Which is why I love it when a family can get together with their grown kids and capture some memories together. At this age, life changes quickly! All of the Kain kids are grown up and starting new adventures in their lives!  Before they all started their new chapter in life and went their separate ways later in the summer and fall, they made it a priority to update their family photos!  

IA Summer Family Session

I met Laura, the mom, many years ago when these three kids were little and we have since always kept in touch. It was a blast to see the kids as "grown ups", and also crazy to think about! The Kain family is so easy going! I just love when families come to sessions and go with flow and are willing to do whatever!! They Kain’s were willing to have some fun and went along with the funny things I asked of them ...  like pick up your dad!!  We shared many laughs and had so much fun! Thank you, Kain Family!!
