Meet Ella, a current senior at West High, who had her Sandy Beach senior portrait session on a gorgeous, chilly fall day. Despite the crazy winds, Ella and I did not let the weather ruin our morning out and about in the local areas.

Ella wanted a few beach pictures, so we went to Sandy Beach, which happens to be one of my favorite spots. We were able to capture some great sandy pictures with a beautiful fall backdrop. After the beach, we went for a little walk and captured some beautiful fall foliage and even stopped along the road to take a few more photos of pretty trees. The colors were gorgeous and her white dress was the perfect complement to all the crisp autumn colors in the background.
Next, we headed to downtown Iowa City for some cool urban shots. Ella had some great outfits, from cute dresses to fall colors, which made the photos even more vibrant and fun. She was such a sweet girl and has big dreams for her future!
Ella will be attending the University of Iowa this fall and studying to become a Child Care Coordinator. I had never heard of this position before, but it sounds fascinating! Ella will help children at hospitals to ease their anxiety before procedures by explaining what is happening, and why it is happening. I have no doubt that she will not only be perfect for this career but will help countless kids! It makes my heart so happy to hear about the dreams these young people have. It is people like Ella who will make a difference in our world!
