I've been a photographer for quite some time, and very rarely get to shoot a new type of session. However, that all changed with Landis’s Koru Aronia Berry Farm Senior Portraits. In a delightful departure from the norm, we headed to the Koru Aronia Berry Farm, an enchanting outdoor wedding venue that doubles as a haven for various farm animals.

Ducks, pot-bellied pigs, goats, donkey, llamas, and emus—this farm had it all! Landis, a senior at Liberty High with dreams of engineering at the University of Iowa, introduced me to a delightful array of furry and feathered friends. While I’ve had my fair share of sessions with adorable pets and animals, I’ve never experienced this many animals at once in a session! It was amazing! 

The picturesque scenes with the llamas, the comical antics of the pot-bellied pigs, and the gentle demeanor of the donkey provided a backdrop unlike any other. It was a day filled with laughter, unexpected moments, and, of course, some fantastic senior portraits. Landis’ family friend owns this Iowa farm and wedding venue. I am so thankful they graciously allowed us to explore the 22 acres of farmland for his senior portraits. 

Sometimes, the most memorable senior sessions happen in places you've never been and involve experiences you've never imagined. A big shoutout to Landis and the wonderful family at Koru Aronia Berry Farm for making this day truly special! I don’t think this session will be topped any time soon!
