I have a confession to make: I had kind of given up on weddings and engagements. But when Kiley’s family approached me for their engagement photos, I just couldn’t say no. I’ve always loved Kiley’s family, and I thought, why not give it one more shot? Honestly, I was kind of hoping that I wouldn’t have any fun so I wouldn’t regret my decision to step back from engagements and weddings. Well, Kiley and Jordan proved me completely wrong. We had SO MUCH fun!

Romantic Iowa Engagement Session 

From the moment we started the session, it was clear that Kiley and Jordan are one of those couples who are just meant to be. Their chemistry was visible and their joy infectious. We spent the session laughing, giggling, and simply enjoying the beautiful autumn day. The leaves were epic, the beautiful gloomy clouds added a touch of drama, and then, just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the sun broke through for the last five minutes of our session. It was pure magic.

What I loved most about this session was how natural everything felt. There was no need for fancy editing tools or elaborate setups. The love between Kiley and Jordan, combined with the stunning scenery, made every photo a work of art. They were so comfortable with each other and with me, which allowed us to capture genuine moments that truly reflect their relationship.

Now, instead of dreading engagement sessions, I find myself wishing I could do a weekly engagement shoot with Kiley and Jordan. This session has me counting down the days until their wedding in September, and I can’t wait to be there to capture every moment of their special day.
