I met Kendra’s family a few years ago while shooting a sports team and then I did their family’s session last year and I couldn’t wait to work with her family again! Kendra was a great way to start my senior portraits for the summer – everything from start to finish during her session came out perfectly and we were very lucky to have such a great day to shoot! 

We took portraits in downtown Iowa City and a local park. Our session took us all over downtown and we even climbed up to the 2^ndstory of one of the buildings there so we could grab some shots on the roof. But… her mom’s phone may not have made it up which just made for one hilarious moment in our time together! Also, I love that we incorporated her Dad’s refinished Thunderbird. The car was actually used by him in his senior pictures and we recreated the pose he chose with the car in his portraits! How special, right?!  This is absolutely why I do what I do – the legacies I’m helping to capture! Kendra is going to be heading to Kirkwood this fall and starting her studies in the medical field. Congratulations to this amazing girl!
