I love when family gets together. There is something incredibly special and heartwarming when you see families together. While I love capturing the intimate bond of an immediate family, watching parents light up with their kids, and photographing the unique personalities of siblings, there is something about capturing bigger family moments with extended family. In my recent Iowa Fall Extended Family Session with the Graham Family I was able to capture the chaos, fun, excitement, and love of this big, loving family! 

Fall Extended Family Session 

Grandma was in heaven as she was surrounded by her grand-babies for a few photos. We took a few of each individual family unit and a few family group shots as well. The session was so much fun! There were so many kids running around everywhere! After we captured the main photos we turned the kids loose to run and play! Boy, did they run!  

These are always my favorite moments of any session featuring kids! Seeing them laugh and giggle as they have fun running, building forts, finding sticks, jumping in piles of leaves, these are the BEST moments. I love capturing the essence and energy of kids. Their personality comes out when they are having fun and interacting with the nature around them! It helps too that kid giggles might be the best sound in the world next to babies laughing. 

I was also super impressed by how well everyone coordinated! Their outfits were all perfect for a fall day! To coordinate with a group this size is no easy task, but they did and they all looked wonderful! It was such a joy to update family photos for the Graham Family!
