Driving to this Best Friend session, I will admit that I was nervous!  These two beauties, Haley and Rylea are only a few years older than my boys, and they think I’m sort of old and boring, which I’m not!  But then I started to think, what if I am? Could I make two 20-year-old girls laugh at the camera? 

Thankfully, I had no reason to worry, because either I’m hilarious or these girls didn’t need me at all during this amazing session!  There were a few times throughout our hour together that I was laughing so hard I had tears. At one point, I’m pretty sure I had to sit down because I couldn’t breathe, I was laughing so hard!  Needless to say, we shared A LOT of laughs between shots, but still stayed on task and captured some truly beautiful photos of these two besties. I still can’t get over the sunset! It was spectacular and not photoshopped in any way! 

Best friend sessions are the greatest idea! We should all be calling our crew right now and opening up our planners to schedule a session. I seriously want to schedule a date with all my friends to do this!  I’m not sure I will be able to pull off the fishnet hose, stylish clothes, and adorable hats like Haley and Rylea though!! 

Not only do these two ladies have remarkable style, but they clearly have a remarkable friendship as well!  You can tell these two have been best friends forever and have been there for each other’s ups and downs.  I think if we’ve learned anything from this past year, it’s the importance of friendship, true friendship. 

To all the ladies out there: find your person or your tribe, and love them well!  When you find them, hold on to them for dear life. My number of “best” friends has dwindled as I’ve gotten older, proving the old adage to be true, that as you go through life you discover that true friends are hard to find, and only come around in life once in a while.  True friends are the ones who love you no matter what, who see the sunshine when you can’t, who make you better, who get you-like really get you, and who will be the first one to post your bail!!  While I may have lost some good friends over the years, when I look at my tribe now, I know they are the real deal and I have all I need.

How sweet it will be for Haley and Rylea to look back on these photos and reminisce on all the memories they shared during this stage of life!  Cheers to many more years of friendship!!
