I often wonder how I got so lucky? How is it possible that I have the opportunity to photograph all of these amazing seniors in the area? I am truly blessed! I’m fortunate to know Cody’s Family, as I go to the same Gym as Cody’s parents. And now I finally had the opportunity to meet him! Cody is a genuine, easy going, and sweet kid. We had a great time chatting throughout his session.
We started our session in Amana, where we found a cool, old barn. He was the perfect subject and took so many great photos! To finish the session, we ended at his second home, the Liberty Baseball field!! When he isn’t playing baseball, he also plays basketball.
I love it when people have a special place or item they want to incorporate into their photos. With seniors it’s usually something related to sports, or another extra-curricular activity. That’s where friendships are built and memories made. These kids will grow up and always remember their teammates and “that one game”. I’m pretty sure whenever Cody looks at the photo of him under the scoreboard or in the dugout, it will bring him right back to this time in his life.
He plans to continue playing baseball for Mount Mercy where he plans to study business! Congrats, Cody, on all your successes!
