Today’s Iowa Family session is near and dear to my heart. The Berners are more than great friends; they are like family!  Rach and I have been best friends for more years than I can count!  Let’s just say, we were 18 when we met, and I’m not very close to 18 anymore!!  

But regardless of what that reveals about my age, I am thankful for all those years of friendship. Both of our families are close to the point that my kids refer to Rach and her husband, Scott, as Aunt and Uncle!  I love that her three kids do the same! 

Outdoor Family Mini Session

Rach and Scott have three beautiful children. It is crazy to see them all together and see how much they have grown up recently! Her daughter is such a sweetheart! I love the photo captured of Rach and her daughter. So sweet!  They all did a great job coordinating their outfits. The boys are great kids! All the men were tolerant of the photos and did a great job smiling on cue. I have them pretty well trained after being around them a lot over the years, 

When you have a growing family, and everything is crazy busy all the time, a 30 minute mini session is all you have time for! And boy do I get that! Balancing all the schedules of your spouse and children is a lot, especially as children become more independent, play sports, and start having a life outside of the home. I am so glad we figured out a time to make it happen and capture these beautiful family memories.
