As an Iowa family photographer, I recently had the pleasure of capturing the Forness family's session at my studio. I have to admit, I had forgotten just how active little 2-year-old boys can be until Killian entered my studio. This little guy kept me on my toes throughout the entire 30-minute session! But despite his endless energy, we managed to capture some beautiful moments that I'm sure this family will cherish for years to come.

Killian is undeniably adorable, but his boundless energy and lightning-fast movements made capturing him in a still image quite a challenge. Nevertheless, we managed to snap a few great shots that truly captured his vibrant personality. And just when I thought the session was winding down, Killian's black eye added an unexpected yet endearing element to our photos.  I love when boys are “all boy” through and through - I love the rough, tumble, never stop, full of life energy - and that energy really shines through in these images.

But this session wasn't just about Killian. It was also a celebration of this little family right before the holidays and a special opportunity to capture a few images of the baby bump of Killian's soon-to-be sibling. All in all, this was a fun and memorable session. I'm grateful for the opportunity to capture these special moments for the Forness family and to help them create lasting memories and document this special time in their lives before they become a family of four!
